I encourage people to touch my sculptures. I want them to feel that the fur or feathers are actually made of wood even though they appear to be real. Being anatomically correct is necessary, but equally important is to portray an attitude or personality in the piece. When it's time to set the eyes in an animal or bird, I believe that I’ve accomplished my goal when it looks back at me. I have much more to learn and look forward to every minute. |
